FORUM SUMMARY:
Details: The City of Southlake is proposing the adoption of the Health & Wellness Master Plan,
an element of the Southlake 2035 Comprehensive Plan. Purpose of the presentation is to give a
high-level overview of the development process, the plan and draft recommendations and the
next steps in the process. A Health & Wellness Master Plan Committee was appointed by City
Council in June 2018. Plan development took place with the committee between August 2018
and April 2019. The committee held six (6) meetings to develop the plan. A draft copy of the
Health & Wellness Master Plan is available online.

1. Consider options or opportunities for “right-sizing”. Senior population would like
to ensure that something is in place for people to participate in independent living
without having to live in a large house that has a lot of upkeep.
