Staff Report – Staff will provide an update about projects within the City. This is an opportunity for Arts Council to discuss the upcoming fall art exhibit. No packet document. B. PUBLIC FORUM Chair Leslie Bartlett opened the Public Forum at 6:00 p.m. There being no one wishing to address the Arts Council, the Public Forum was closed. 3. CONSIDER AGENDA 3A. APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES FROM THE DECEMBER 10, 2018 SOUTHLAKE ARTS COUNCIL MEETING APPROVED A motion was made to approve the minutes of the December 10, 2018 Southlake Arts Council meeting as read. APPROVE ART CONCEPT AND RECOMMEND A CONTRACT WITH ARTIST BORIS KRAMER TO COMMISSION THE ART SCULPTURE “BE THE BRIDGE” TO BE INSTALLED IN THE WHITE CHAPEL BOULEVARD AND HIGHLAND STREET ROUNDABOUT FOR AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $96,500 Strategic Operations Manager and Arts Council liaison Cassie Tucker presented Item 3B for consideration of artist Boris Kramer concept and contract for “Be the Bridge” to be installed at the White Chapel Boulevard and Highland Street roundabout. A suggestion was made for the Arts Council to review a scaled model of the proposed positioning of the sculpture in the roundabout for feedback prior to it being installed. APPROVED A motion was made to approve the contract with artist Boris Kramer to commission the art sculpture “Be the Bridge” to be installed in the White Chapel Boulevard and Highland Street roundabout. APEX REPORT APEX representative Terri Messing provided the APEX update. Arts Council discussed plans for the “Strokes of Art In the Square” reception on February 17, 2019. Other events mentioned were the Annual Jazzfest on March 2 and the concert “Unity through Playing” by Texas Chamber Music Program on March 21, 2019. 4B. STAFF REPORT Strategic Operations Manager and Arts Council liaison Cassie Tucker presented a staff report and answered questions. 5.
