Work Session was called to order by Mayor Laura Hill at 5:44pm.
2. INVOCATION: CLAYTON REED
Mr. Reed gave the invocation. Mayor Laura Hill led the pledges of allegiance to the United
States and Texas Flags.
3. SOUTHLAKE CHAMBER OF COMMERCE UPDATES BY IAN MACLEAN
Executive Chamber Board Member Ian MacLean provided an update on the Southlake
Chamber of Commerce.
4. PRESENTATION OF VOLUNTEER SERVICE AWARDS

Director of Human Resources Stacey Black presented volunteer service awards to those
who met established service requirements from April 1, 2018 – March 31, 2019, made
introductory comments, and provided a presentation to the City Council.

Mayor Hill announced the City Council would go into Executive Session pursuant to the
Open Meetings Act, Chapter 551, Texas Government Code, Section 551.071 consultation
with city attorney. City Council adjourned for Executive Session at 6:30pm. Executive
Session began at 6:35pm and concluded at 7:30pm.

Mayor Hill introduced Taylor Kilpatrick, Miss Southlake 2019, who provided information
about her platform and shared more information about the Miss Texas Organization.
3B1. PROCLAMATION FOR NATIONAL DONATE LIFE MONTH
Mayor Hill presented a proclamation for National Donate Life Month to Rozina Dossani,
Lydia Stoner, and Salima Madhani. Celebrated in April each year, Donate Life Month
features an entire month of local, regional and national activities to help encourage
Americans to register as an organ, eye and tissue donors, and to celebrate those that
have saved lives through the gift of donation.
