Item Number 6K(_0 C-,, Dennis and Pattie Minder 223 Eastwood Drive Southlake, Texas 76092 Mayor Hill and Council Members: When we built our house on 3 1/2 acres in Southlake in 1983, 1709 was a beautiful tree lined two lane road. At that time the population was about 1500 residents. Between then and now you can see we have had significant growth. My point is, times have changed the lay of the land: The view out the back of our home was horse and cattle farms and an ostrich farm. We had no commercial and now we are surrounded, by Home Depot, 7-11, Wendy's , Gas Station and other commercial enterprises. Our view now out of our back yard is a Junior High, Intermediate School, a lighted Football Field with a full track plus a very load PA system. This disturbance takes place all year long 7 days a week. Our neighbors and ourselves, would much rather have had 2 Million dollar homes built behind us instead of all the noise we now have. We have known the Kosse Maykus family for over 25 years. I have supported him on many of his projects within the City of Southlake. He builds quality subdivisions, is an honorable gentleman and stands behind the homes he builds. He loves Southlake and wouldn't build anything that he wouldn't want to live next to. We have looked at the 10 acre parcel that Kosse Maykus intends to build 11 homes on, to be known as the Hawkwood Subdivision. We are in full support of this project. Thank You.
