CITY COUNCIL PRESENT: Mayor Laura Hill, Mayor Pro Tem Randy Williamson,
Deputy Mayor Pro Tem Shawn McCaskill, and Councilmembers Chad Patton
ABSENT: Councilman John Huffman
RECUSED: Councilman Shahid Shafi
SOUTHLAKE ARTS COUNCIL PRESENT: Chair Leslie Bartlett, Vice Chair Miriam
Murray, and Members Mimi Tran, Jesika Cook, Terri Messing, Tamara McMillan, and

STAFF PRESENT: City Manager Shana Yelverton, Assistant City Manager Ben

1. CALL TO ORDER & WELCOME
The worksession was called to order by Mayor Laura Hill at 6:09pm.
Mayor Hill welcomed the Council, members of the Boards, and staff. She presented the
Mayor's Alliance for Unity and Culture video as featured on the City's website.
2. SOUTHLAKE PUBLIC ART & COMMUNITY CULTURE

Director of Community Services Chris Tribble presented Item 2 (2A - 2B) and answered
�-- questions regarding the Arts Master Plan and Key Policy issues. Mayor Hill stated art

needs to become a way to educate the community about Southlake, a way in which to
marry the past with the current/future. Art members stated they are researching more
diverse art.

Director of Community Services Chris Tribble presented Item 3 and answered questions
regarding current projects, and discussion occurred relative to the Library project,
performing art space, and sculptures and interactive pieces placed strategically and
thoughtfully throughout the City.

Director of Community Services Chris Tribble presented Item 4 (4A — 4D) and answered
questions regarding Strategic Partnerships. Mayor Hill stated this is the time to be a
positive influence with opportunities for change.

Mayor Hill adjourned the worksession at 7:20pm.
