Re: ZA18-0046, Southlake NEC Site Security at 500 West Dove Road
The applicant, Verizon Wireless, requests approval of: 1) site plan to add a perimeter
security fence and guardhouse, walkways, outdoor pavilion and other related
improvements; 2) a specific use permit (SUP) in perpetuity for the guardhouse; 3) a
variance to accessory building rear yard location; and 4) a variance to the driveway stacking
length.
Applicant is amenable to the following stipulations (pursuant to suggestions by the P&Z)
if necessary for City Council approval of the application.
1. If the security personnel at the Dove Road entrance become unnecessary and the
lift -arms are removed, the property owner will remove the guard house at the time
the Dove Road driveway lift -arms are removed.
2. If the application is approved, the property owner will convert the Kirkwood
driveway to an emerge cy exit -only driveway upon installation of a planned exit -
only driveway to the neW Highway 114 access road.
3. The fence along Kirkwood Boulevard will be vertically offset along elevation
changes (see attached photo for example of vertical offset).
