2007-09-24 Meeting Report (Invitation Park)CITYWIDE SPIN MEETING SUMMARIES SEPTEMBER 24, 2007 6:30PM INVITATION PARK About ten (10) residents attended the citywide SPIN meeting for the proposed Invitation Park on the south side of E. Southlake Blvd between Byron Nelson Pkwy and S. Carroll Ave. The approximately 3.5- acre property is currently zoned "C -3" General Commercial and is adjacent to the proposed Carroll Crossroads commercial development (east). This Concept Plan proposal is for 27 three -story professional office "brownstones" of approximately 2100 square feet each. A three -story business center (larger conference rooms and meeting spaces), a clock tower, and a central courtyard are also proposed. The developer is expected to make application to the City on October 1. It is not expected to come before City Council's consideration until December 4 at the earliest. The main questions and discussion points at this meeting included: Timing of development Expected types of businesses /professions Flexibility of unit sizes and styles None in attendance verbalized any major objections to the development. 7:30PM SOUTHLAKE VILLA OFFICES About four (4) residents attended the citywide SPIN meeting for the proposed Southlake Villa Offices on the north side of E. Southlake Blvd between White Chapel Blvd and Diamond Blvd (entrance to Diamond Circle Estates). This 3 -acre property adjacent to Diamond Circle Estates (north and west) was recently considered for the location of a Calloway's Nursery. This "O -1" Zoning Change Site Plan proposal is for three (3) two -story Tuscan -style general office buildings totaling approximately 34,000 square feet of floor area. Application is expected to be made to the City on October 1, thus it is not expected to come before City Council's consideration until December 4 at the earliest. The main questions and discussion points at this meeting included: Timing and phasing of development None in attendance verbalized any major objections to the development.
