2006-12-14 Meeting Report (Bicentennial Park)City -Wide SPIN Meeting re: Bicentennial Park Report Questions and Comments Is that implying the houses on Shady Oaks will not be torn down? Traffic control light at White Chapel? How many use park now? How many will use park when it is built? Do you anticipate a traffic light at 1709? I've noticed park set up for tennis and baseball, was there any consideration for any other sports? As we do projects like this, why not multi use? How about plans for a skate park? Are you putting sidewalks around the park? Where will the sidewalks go? Is the baseball stadium for high school play? Are the baseball facilities grass or turf? Where is the line on Shady Oaks? How deep are you going on the field? Will I be looking at a pit? How many people can be seated at the baseball stadium? Who else would plat there besides high school? Can that facility be used for concerts? Have you looked at big league dream fields that have popped up? Is there a way to do a concept like that? What is the time frame on this park? How do we pay for it? What's the buzz on paying for it? Corporate sponsors? Will there be any sales tax available? Is there any critical dependency for this? What other activities did you consider and reject? There are two pavilions there now, would they be moved? Would there be a replacement for Adventure Alley? Are all of those tennis courts already there?
