An alternative to releasing a new Call to Artist for the Zena Rucker Road roundabout is to use the runner-up artist/art piece from the last Call to Artists. Arts Council preferred moving forward with a new Call to Artists and using the runner-up piece for another suitable location. A suggestion was made that the Call to Artists specify a contemporary piece that connects a high residential area with a medical area and a contemporary shopping center, and include photos of the area to show the amenities and natural features retained by the developer of the residential subdivision in proximity to the roundabout. 4A - 3 Minutes of the August 28, 2018 Southlake Arts Council Meeting Page 4 of 5 City of Southlake Values: Integrity ♦ Innovation ♦ Accountability ♦ Commitment to Excellence ♦ Teamwork APPROVED A motion was made to approve the Call to Artists for an art piece to be installed in a roundabout at the intersection of Tower Boulevard and Zena Rucker Road as presented.
