1) letter from TCCE to exhibit or attend the First Trade Show in recognition of
"Texas Industrial Week" activities, April 10 & 11 at the Austin Stouffer Hotel.
2) Receipt of Incubator info from Garland Eco. Dev. group --will be on file in
chamber office for review by anyone interested.
3) Prospects: a) AL -KO, a plastic injection molding co located in Addison
employs approx 30 employees. Working with realtor Bill Deacon
in Grapevine. Barry E. has been in contact with Mr. Deacon.
b) Inland Sales Co., seeking 2400 sq.ft office space on a lease
basis for a corporate relocation. Parent co. is All Pro. Also
looking in Atlanta and Tampa. Looking to make this move in
late 1989. Phillip B. and Pat B. to follow up.
VIDEO PRODUCTION: Barry E. is getting information from Art Miller the producer for
the TU Electric videos. Brad to get info from SW Bell and GTE.
ECONOMIC PROFILE UPDATE: John Moore & Virginia Clow. Rough draft will be ready
March 15.
BROCHURE UPDATE: Phyllis Catton not present.
TAX ABATEMENT UPDATE: Curtis Hawk. Irving, Garland, Plano information coming.
It is recommended that SEDC prepare rough guidelines for city council to review
.in order to be'better prepared when inquiring companies address this issue.
COMPUTER EQUIPMENT: Marvin Cook. Computer should be in next week. No software
has been purchased.
OTHER BUSINESS: Phillip Bressinck. Presentation of ARVIDA project. 267 acres;
390 residential lots (min. 20,000 SQ.FT with some at 30,000Sq. ft.). Min. house
sq footage - 2,000 sq.ft. Price Range: 185,000-225,000 complete. Lots:$45-60K.
Requirement: all homeowners must be member of HO Assoc. at approx $400 annually.
