to the community. Martin Schelling, Pattie Minder, Jan Francis and Tom Ward will
help Angela with the project.
Agenda Item No. 6. Public Relations Discussion
Al Morin explained that his goal is to keep SPIN in front of the community Milan and
Mary Georgia have been asked to take on this project. They were asked to find out
what we do now, and what can be added. Among the suggestions made were the
following: Chamber of Commerce calendar, profile each SPIN Representative on Cable
TV and the Southlake Journal, displays at public events and public places,
announcements on the water bills, mailing the new brochures, publishing the map
occasionally in the newspapers, distributing brochures to real estate agents and
declaring SPIN awareness week. Bob Walker emphasized that issues are the key to
spreading news about SPIN. It was also stressed that printed materials need to use
"Southlake Program for the Involvement of Neighborhoods" in addition to the
acronym. Mary and Milan will compile all the ideas, and bring suggestions for
implementation to the next meeting.
