Overview
• The first meeting of the Health & Wellness Master Plan Committee will be held August 8, 2018.
This outline provides some additional information regarding the format of the meeting.
• Attached in the electronic packet for this meeting are some relevant documents and links
Committee members may review in advance of the meeting. These items are listed below
(highlighted) within the various topic categories.
• After the introductory portion of the meeting, we will transition into discussion about existing
programs / initiatives in place, and allow for various City departments to provide an
informational overview of their role in terms of topics related to health and wellness.
• Following that time we will discuss the current health and wellness environment within
Southlake, followed by some conversation about the proposed scope of the plan. A number of
potential focus areas and topics are listed below in section VI of this document. This list is not
comprehensive, and members of the Committee are encouraged to consider additional
potential focus areas and topics. We will engage in an interactive discussion to gain feedback on
other opportunities.
