Chairman Tina Wasserman called the regular Parks and Recreation Board meeting to
order at 7:25 p.m.
2. CONSENT AGENDA
2A. APPROVE MINUTES FROM THE REGULAR PARKS AND RECREATION BOARD
MEETING HELD APRIL 9, 2018
There were no corrections to the minutes.
2B. ABSENCE OF PARKS AND RECREATION BOARD MEMBERS
There were no board member absences to excuse.
Consent Agenda items are considered to be routine and are enacted with one motion by
the Board.

A motion was made to approve the Consent items as presented.

3. PUBLIC FORUM
Chairman Tina Wasserman opened public forum at 7:26 p.m. There being no one to
speak, Chairman Wasserman closed public forum.
4. CONSIDER
4A. ELECTION OF OFFICERS FOR THE PARKS AND RECREATION BOARD
Chairman Wasserman presented Item 4A and requested nominations for the chair, vice
chair and secretary positions. A suggestion was made to maintain the existing officers.
The officers confirmed their interest to continue serving in their positions.
APPROVED
A motion was made to continue with the current slate of officers (Chair Tina
Wasserman, Vice Chair Frances Scharli, and Secretary Lori Palmer).

4B. RECOMMENDATION ON FISCAL YEAR 2019 PARKS AND RECREATION
GENERAL FUND OPERATING BUDGET
Director of Community Services Chris Tribble presented an overview of the proposed
budget and initiatives for FY 2019 and was available to answer questions.
APPROVED
A motion was made to recommend approval of the Fiscal Year 2019 Parks and
Recreation General Fund Operating Budget as presented.
