CALL TO ORDER Southlake Arts Council Chairman Leslie Bartlett called the meeting to order at 6:04 p.m. 2. PUBLIC FORUM Chair Leslie Bartlett opened the Public Forum at 6:04 p.m. There being no one wishing to address the Arts Council, Chair Bartlett closed the Public Forum. 3. CONSIDER AGENDA 3A. APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES FROM THE APRIL 23, 2018 SOUTHLAKE ARTS COUNCIL MEETING APPROVED A motion was made to approve the minutes of the April 23, 2018 Southlake Arts Council meeting with a correction. CONSIDER 4A. RECOMMENDATION ON FINAL CONCEPT FOR PUBLIC ART FOR THE WHITE CHAPEL BOULEVARD AND HIGHLAND STREET ROUNDABOUT Assistant to the Director and board liaison Cassie Tucker presented Call to Artists finalists' Seth Vandable's modified concept of the "Prairie Winds" sculpture proposed for the White Chapel Boulevard and Highland Street roundabout. Southlake Arts Council reviewed the revised concept and agreed to recommend the concept to City Council. APPROVED A motion was made to recommend to City Council artist Seth Vandable's revised concept plan for "Prairie Winds" for the roundabout at White Chapel Boulevard and Highland Street. CONSIDER CANCELLATION OF THE JULY SOUTHLAKE ARTS COUNCIL MEETING Assistant to the Director and board liaison Cassie Tucker presented Item 4B for discussion. Southlake Arts Council agreed to cancel the regular July 24, 2018 meeting. APPROVED A motion was made to cancel the July Southlake Arts Council meeting. DISCUSSION 5A. APEX EVENTS UPDATE Arts Council member and APEX representative Jesika Cook provided an update of upcoming events and APEX activities in Terri Messing's absence. The discussion included the Carillon/Library project recommendation recently approved by the Planning & Zoning Commission; APEX Presents Series; plans for film events and upcoming performances; and budget considerations. The Council desired to move forward with a partnership with Grapevine Art Project (GAP) and agreed to Chamber ensemble for entertainment at the September Art Gallery event. Art submittals for the September exhibit to be juried at the August Arts Council meeting. 513. STAFF PROJECTS UPDATE Assistant to the Director and board liaison Cassie Tucker invited Arts Council to a Joint City Council and boards and commission meeting to be held June 4, 2018 at The Marq Southlake to discuss the Carillon/Library project. Southlake Arts Council may review recommendations to the Public Arts Master Plan at the June meeting for changes or modifications to the recommendations. 6.
