Subdivision Ordinance No. 483, as amended, Section 5.06B requires
sidewalks in all residential subdivisions platted or replatted after the
effective date of the ordinance. The Pathways Master Plan shows
future sidewalks (<8’) on both sides of E. Bob Jones Rd. A five (5)
foot sidewalk is required to be installed with the construction of a
new home on either of the proposed lots. The applicant is
requesting a variance to the sidewalk requirement and is proposing
that no sidewalk be provided on either of the proposed lots.
VARIANCE REQUEST
June 7, 2018; Approved (6-0) subject to the staff report dated June 1,
2018 and Concept Plan Review Summary No. 3, dated June 1, 2018 and
granting the variance requested in that staff report subject to the
applicant’s agreement to provide a pedestrian access easement to
accommodate the building of the sidewalk if and when that takes place.
