Re: Small Cell Antennas—Roof Installation
Southlake Town Square Shopping Center
Dear Planning Staff:
Verizon Wireless proposes to construct 8 (eight) small cell antennas in 6 (six) rooftop locations
within the Southlake Town Square Shopping Complex. This will greatly improve cellular
service to the area. The demand for telecommunication services from mobile telephone users is
constantly increasing. In order to improve service and use existing structures, Verizon Wireless
proposes to install roof top antennas which will minimize the visual impact while providing
improved service to this population dense area.
Verizon Wireless has operated a cellular telephone system serving the Southlake Coi'nmunity for
many years. The city depends on a reliable system. The system is constantly monitored and
improved when necessary.
Attached to this request are propagation maps that show the technical improved coverage that
these small cell antennas will provide. The system users in the general area will have improved
service through faster connection, downloads of data, and signal strength for their devices.
Thank you for your consideration
Sincerely,
Peter Kavanagh
