Earlier this evening, I cast a vote at P&Z that did not reflect my position on the application for development of the "donkey field". As my verbal comments note, I had concerns about the variance request relating to stacking depth but felt that those concerns were addressed in the response from Curtis Young. The motion that was made was to deny the application but, for some reason, I "heard" a denial of the requested variance. After the motion was made and seconded, Dennis Killough even clarified that a "yes" was to support denial of the application yet somehow I apparently was still thinking about the stacking variance request. As a result, a vote that should have been 2-2 is registered as 3-1 to deny. Incidentally, while likely not on video, both Curtis and Rich DeOtte approached me after the meeting to question my vote to deny. I conveyed to them that I had erred in my vote. While I understand that nothing can change a registered vote, I did want to inform you of my mistake and to state my support of a significantly improved plan to develop this area.
