AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO.
161 OF THE CITY OF SOUTHLAKE BY
AMENDING THE ZONING CLASSIFICATION
OF THIRTY-FIVE ACRES OF LAND, MORE
OR LESS, OUT OF THE JOHN CHILDRESS
SURVEY, ABSTRACT NO. 254, FROM "AG"
AGRICULTURE DISTRICT TO "A-2" SINGLE
FAMILY DISTRICT.
WHEREAS, after receipt of request for change of
zoning, notice given to applicable property owners of
public hearing, notice of public hearing published, and
public hearing having been conducted, all in compliance
with Ordinance No. 161 of the City of Southlake, Texas,
NOW, THEREFORE,
Be it Ordained by the City Council of the City of
Southlake, Texas:
SECTION 1. The certain Ordinance No. 161 passed by the
City Council of the City of Southlake, Texas, January 7,
1969, and being the "Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance" is
hereby amended insofar as the thirty-five acres of land,
more or less, owned by Real-Texas Enterprises, Inc., out
of the John Childress Survey, Abstract No. 254, Tarrant
County, Texas, more particularly described by metes and
bounds as follows:
BEGINNING at a point in the East ROW line
of County Road 3061, said point also being
the Southeast corner of a 50.0 acre tract
of land conveyed to Dr. Frank H. Austin on
April 25, 1949, in Volume 2084, Page 101,
Deed Records, Tarrant County, Texas;
THENCE North 89 degrees 37 minutes West
with a fence and the North ROW line of a
County Road, a distance of 1005.5 feet to
a steel rod for corner; said corner also
being the Southwest corner of said 50.0
acre tract;
THENCE North 0 degrees 53 minutes West a
distance of 1123.6 feet to a U. S. Corps
of Engineers concrete monument, said monu-
ment also being the Southwest corner of a
9.7 acre tract of land conveyed by Dr. Frank
H. Austin to the U. S. Corps of Engineers;
THENCE North 52 degrees 54 minutes East 233.2
feet to another concrete monument for corner;
THENCE South 60 degrees 59 minutes East a
distance of 253.6 feet to a concrete monument;
THENCE North 07 degrees 57 minutes East a
distance of 384.3 feet to a concrete monument;
THENCE North 55 degrees 57 minutes West a dis-
tance of 92.3 feet to a concrete monument;
--,THENCE North 1 degree 42 minutes West a dis-
tance of 158.2 feet to a concrete monument;
-THENCE North 61 degrees 00 minutes East a
distance of 125.1 feet to a concrete monu-
ment for corner;
~-THENCE North 42 degrees 38 minutes East
175.1 feet to a steel rod for corner; said
point also being in the center line of County
Road 3061;
THENCE South 62 degrees 30 minutes East with
center line of said road a distance of 230.2
feet to a steel rod for corner;
--THENCE South 81 degrees 00 minutes East a
distance of 246.4 feet to a steel road for
corner; said corner also being in the East
ROW line of County Road 3061 ;
THENCE South 1 degree 03 minutes West along
East ROW line of said road, with fence a
distance of 506.3 feet;
.,THENCE North 89 degrees 27 minutes West, at
36.0 feet passing a steel rod and continuing
a total distance of 236.0 feet to a steel rod;
--THENCE South 1 degree 03 minutes West, 430.4
feet to a steel rod;
-THENCE South 89 degrees 35 minutes 30 seconds
East at 200.0 feet passing a steel rod and
continuing a total distance of 236.0 feet to
a steel rod in said East ROW line of County
Road 3061;
THENCE South 1 degree 03 minutes West along
said East ROW line of County Road 3061, a
distance of 847.7 feet to the place of be-
ginning and containing 35.0803 acres of land,
more or less,
is changed from its prior zoning classification of "'Agt
Agriculture District" to a zoning classification of "'A-2'
Single Family District".
SECTION 2. The official zoning map created by said
Ordinance No. 161 is hereby amended to reflect the change
in zoning classification made by this Ordinance.
SECTION 3. The said Ordinance No. 161, except as amended
by this Ordinance No. 161 -18 and prior ordinance amendments,
remains in effect in all other respects as originally passed.
This ordinance shall take effect upon its passage.
