Review, discuss and make recommendations on a proposed development to include 3 to 4 restaurants on approximately 8 acres located at 2185 E. Southlake Boulevard, generally located south of E. Southlake Boulevard, west of S. Kimball Avenue and north of S. Village Center Drive (Greenway Investments – Kimball Crossing). 4. Review, discuss and make recommendations on a proposed indoor commercial amusement center for Urban Air Adventure Park located at 2201 W. Southlake Boulevard, Lot 2R1, Block 1, Southlake Crossing (former Walmart Neighborhood Market). 5. Adjournment. MEETING OVERVIEW: On January 22, 2018 the Southlake 2035 Corridor Planning Committee held their fourteenth meeting. The Committee was sent a packet of materials prior to the meeting that were to be discussed during the session. A meeting agenda was posted and the meeting time was advertised on the City’s website. The following meeting report focuses on discussion points made during the meeting by members of the Committee, public and City staff. This report is neither verbatim nor does it represent official meeting minutes; rather it serves to inform elected and appointed officials, City staff, and the public of the issues and questions raised by the Committee, City staff, and any attendees of the meeting. ITEM #4 DISCUSSION – Review, discuss and make recommendations on a proposed indoor commercial amusement center for Urban Air Adventure Park located at 2201 W. Southlake Boulevard, Lot 2R1, Block 1, Southlake Crossing (former Walmart Neighborhood Market). Staff presentation: Dennis Killough  Dennis reviewed the proposal, including the city’s pursuit of public/private partnership with the Southlake Marketplace Management company regarding improved drive access Questions / Comments for staff by the Committee: Q: Will the improved vehicular drive access provide a benefit to the Fire Department? A: A signal light is planned at DPS West intersection to control emergency vehicle access onto FM 1709, as well as improve access to the shopping center Q: There is not a budget item in the CIP for the Southlake Marketplace driveway improvements and signalization, correct? A: A funding item for the FM 1709 Market Place improvements and signalization is included as a project in the FY 2017 CIP Q: Can you identify the parking area to be used by this development? A: Parking for the proposed use will be within the owner’s lot boundary. The entire lot is under parked, not only for the new development C: Parking ratio, per ordinance, is 10 adults to 10 kids, not 10 adults to 150 kids. A rezoning to reestablish parking ratio is required to permit the proposed use. A: 8ft tube Q: What are your normal hours? A: Monday – Thursday (3:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.) / Friday (12:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m.) / Saturday (10:00 a.m. – 11:00 p.m.) / Sunday (10:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.) Q: When will the drone parking study be completed?
