Airbnb is definitely the new trend for travelers and can brings more people to experience all Southlake has to offer. Right now Grapevine has multiple Airbnb's but Southlake only has a handful. I think it hugely beneficial to local businesses & restaurants. Also, Airbnb does a government verification check on all guests and they are not allowed to book if they aren't verified. So there's a really good security background check done before anyone can rent your space. I'm great with each host getting a permit from the city to be able to host to keep things regulated and safe. And Airbnb recommends you have house rules typed out for guests they must follow or they lose their deposit and get penalized by Airbnb. There are so many checks and balances on Airbnb so it brings the right kind of guest that respect your place and city. Guest get reviews from hosts after each stay and it's a huge deal to keep their 5 Star status because other hosts won't rent to them if they don't stay in high standing. So , I hope the city will take the time to research Airbnb more and know that it is very regulated and safe and can bring so much to our local economy. It's the new way of the travel world and we need to stay relevant and current in this trend. If you use Air bnb every guest is Goverment verified with the company so background checks are done. A guest can't rent a space unless they get verified . It brings people to our area which is good for local businesses and recognition of Southlake as a thriving community Email not displaying correctly?
