ORDINANCE NO. 161-
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 161
OF THE CITY OF SOUTHLAKE BY AMENDING
THE ZONING CLASSIFICATION OF ONE ACRE
OF LAND, MORE OR LESS, OUT OF THE JOHN
N. GIBSON SURVEY, ABSTRACT NO. 591,
FROM AG (AGRICULTURE) DISTRICT TO F
(LIGHT INDUSTRIAL) DISTRICT.
WHEREAS, After receipt of request for change of zoning,
notice given to applicable property owners of public hearing,
notice of public hearing published, and public hearing hav-
ing been conducted, all in compliance with Ordinance No. 161
of the City of Southlake, Texas,
NOW, THEREFORE,
Be it ordained by the City Council of the City of
Southlake, Texas:
SECTION 1. The certain Ordinance No. 161 passed by the City
Council of the City of Southlake, Texas, January 7, 1969, and
being the "COMPREHENSIVE ZONING ORDINANCE" is hereby amended
insofar as the one acre of land, more or less, owned by
Roy L. Murray, out of the John N. Gibson Survey, Abstract
No. 591, Tarrant County, Texas, more particularly described
by metes and bounds as follows:
BEGINNING at a steel rod for the North-
east corner of this tract said point being
83 varas South and 229 varas West of the
Northeast corner of J. N. Gibson Survey,
said beginning point being the Northeast
corner of a one acre tract as conveyed to
Horace A. McMillin and wife dated May 16, 1963;
THENCE South 0 degrees 11 minutes West
with fence line along the East side of
said one acre tract 210.3, to a steel
rod for corner;
THENCE West with fence along the South
line of said tract, 1 93 .0 feet to a steel
rod in the East R. 0. W. line of County
Road #3041;
THENCE North one degree 03 minutes East
along said East R. 0. W. line 210.3 feet
to the North line of said one acre tract;
THENCE East along the North line of said
one acVe tract, 184.2 feet to the place
of beginning containing 1.0 ac. of land
of which 0.089 ac. lies within County
Road #3041
is changed from its prior zoning classification of AG
(Agriculture) District to a zoning classification of F
(Light Industrial) District.
SECTION 2. The official Zoning Map created by said Ordin-
ance No. 161 is hereby amended to reflect the change in
zoning classification made by this Ordinance.
SECTION 3. The said Ordinance No. 161, except as amended
by this Ordinance No. 161 -34 and prior ordinance amendments,
remains in effect in all other respects as originally passed.
This ordinance shall take effect upon its passage.
