AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO.
161 OF THE CITY OF SOUTHLAKE BY
AMENDING THE ZONING CLASSIFICATION
OF THREE ACRES OF LAND, MORE OR LESS,
OUT OF THE FRANCIS THROOP SURVEY,
ABSTRACT NO. 1511, FROM AG (AGRI-
CULTURE) DISTRICT TO A-3 (RESIDENTIAL)
DISTRICT.
WHEREAS, after receipt of request for change of zoning,
notice given to applicable property owners of public hearing,
notice of public hearing published, and public hearing having
been conducted, all in compliance with Ordinance No. 161 of
the City of Southlake, Texas,
NOW, THEREFORE,
Be it Ordained by the City Council of the City of
Southlake, Texas:
SECTION 1. The certain Ordinance No. 161 passed by the City
Council of the City of Southlake, Texas, January 7, 1969, and
being the "Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance" is hereby amended
insofar as the three acres of land, more or less, owned by Zora
Trigg Shumaker, out of the Francis Throop Survey, Abstract No.
1511, Tarrant County, Texas, being a 2.92 acre tract out of
a 15.31 acre tract in said Survey, as recorded in Volume 3369,
Page 605, Deed Records, Tarrant County, Texas, and being
described by metes and bounds as follows:
BEGINNING at a steel rod for corner in the Northerly
line of said 15.31 acre tract, said point being
175.0 ft. South 62 deg. 12 min. West and 30.8 ft.
South 40 deg. 19 min. East from the most Northerly
corner of said 15.31 acre tract;
THENCE South 40 deg. 19 min. East, 638.8 ft. to
a steel rod for corner in the Northerly R.O.W. of
a road and the Southerly line of said tract;
THENCE South.62 deg. 12 min. West, 200.0 ft. along
the Northerly R.O.W. line of said road to a steel
rod for corner;
THENCE North 40 deg. 19 min. West, 638.6 ft. to a
steel rod for corner;
THENCE North 62 deg. 12 min. East, 200.0 ft. to a
steel rod and the place of beginning and containing
2.92 acres of land more or less,
is changed from its prior zoning classification of AG (Agri-
culture) District to a zoning classification of A-3 (Residential)
District.
SECTION 2. The official zoning map created by said Ordi-
nance No. 161 is hereby amended to reflect the change in
zoning classification made by this Ordinance.
SECTION 3. The said Ordinance No. 161, except as amended
by this Ordinance No. 161-25 and prior ordinance amendments,
remains in effect in all other respects as originally passed.
This ordinance shall take effect upon its passage.
