Re: Agreement to return to city council with plans for construction offices within three
months of approval of extension of the current SUP (Case No. ZA17-062)
Verizon Wireless ("Applicant") agrees to return to city council by March 6, 2018 with
conceptual plans for construction offices to replace the temporary construction trailers as
requested by the Mayor related to Applicant's request for a 3 -year SUP for temporary
construction facility in the current location (including the existing variance for foundation
landscaping).
Specifically, within three months of the city council's approval of the amended SUP
application (i.e. no later than by council's March 6, 2018 scheduled meeting), the
Applicant would provide to city council an informal site plan with the proposed location
for the construction offices (one or more options), and if it is to be an external addition,
with approximate dimensions of the addition and a rendering showing the proposed
external appearance of the addition for review and conceptual approval by the city council,
as shown in the attached sample site plan and rendering (using the loading dock as an
example).
If no further council approval would be necessary for the replacement offices conceptually
approved by council, then Applicant will proceed to a formal design phase.
If further council action would be required for the replacement offices, then Applicant will
proceed to the design phase for documents required for a site plan amendment. The
anticipated procedure would be that Applicant would present the proposed site plan at a
SPIN meeting (unless directed otherwise by the city council to expedite the process),
submit a formal application for a site plan amendment, attend a public hearing before the
planning and zoning commission for a recommendation, and attend a public hearing before
the city council.
If there is any concern that this agreement does not fully reflect the mayor's request, please
let me know so we can address that prior to the December 5 council meeting.
Sincerely,
,
laj -
