Item 4G on your agenda tonight is for the approval of the 2018 Interlocal agreement for the Metroport Teen Court program among the cities of Colleyville,
Grapevine, Keller, and Southlake.

Metroport Teen Court
Metroport Teen Court is a volunteer program which allows juvenile misdemeanor offenders an alternative to the criminal justice system while allowing them to assume responsibility for
their own actions by involvement in the judicial process and completion of community service hours.
Completion of their obligations will allow their offenses to not be recorded as a
conviction on their record.

Participating Cities pay $36,750
Metroport Teen Court
FY 2018 Interlocal Agreement
The Interlocal Agreement is an annual agreement among the cities of Southlake, Grapevine, Colleyville and Keller to provide funding for Metroport Teen Court.
Each participating City
shall pay $36,750 to the City of Southlake to fund the Teen Court program.
These funds shall pay for (2) full time staff plus 10% of Municipal Court Supervisory Staff as well as additional
supplies and security needed for extended operations.

The Colleyville City Council approved and signed the FY 2018 Interlocal on September 5, 2017.
The Keller City Council approved and signed the FY 2018 Interlocal on September 19, 2017.
The Grapevine City Council approved and signed the FY 2018 Interlocal on October 17, 2017.

This table shows the past 3 years of case numbers and forecasts for the number of defendants referred in the participating cities. The total the FY 2017 was 717; however the FY 2018
expects to increase to 800 cases.
