71-003RESOLUTION NO. 71-3 WHEREAS, the City of Southlake owns two patrol cars for use in its Police Department; And WHEREAS, one of the cars is in such condition due to age and need of re- pair it can no longer be of service in said Department; And. WHEREAS, its replacement is of such an urgent need there is no time to advertise for bids; And WHEREAS, the following three bids were submitted on invitation: Chaparral - $3,283.62 Payton Wright-S3,384. 30 Lee Jarmon- $3,583.43; Now THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTHLAKE, TEXAS, THAT: The firm of Chaparral in Fort Worth, having submitted the lowest bid, has been directed to prepare a Police Special 1971 Plymouth for use in the Southlake Police Department. The financing of said vehicle will be by note negotiated by the American Bank of Commerce in Grapevine. PASSED AND APPROVED this 2nd day of March, A. D. 1971. ATTEST: Mayor Pro Tern City Secretary
