than 30,000 people, and prompted more than 17,000 rescues;and,
Whereas, many in the community as welfas Southlake Empfoyees volunteered to assist in
providing donations forfamifies affected by the tragedy of7furricane.Ifarwey,and,
Whereas, Southlake(Emergency Management Coordinator, Eric Yfutmacher, assisted the
Texas Department of Tu6fic Safety(DBS)andTexas Division of Emergency Management
( (DEM)at the OPS Region 112egionafCoord'nation Center(12CC)at DB,SYfea4uarters in
Garland,SIX.Yfe was also includedin theAirCommandSection andfatertransferredto the
position ofSingfe Vnit Resource Leader, and,
Whereas, Southfake firefighters Lt. Jeremy Blackwell Jason Moloney, Seth Corder, and
Steven Tannerwere depfoyedwith Texas Intrastate Fire MutuafAide System,Strike Team
109 to Dickinson, Texas to assist with the ongoing rescues and evacuations during
unprecedentedflaoding in South Texas; now,
Therefore,I,MayorLaura Miff on 6eh4of the City Council do considerit agreat privilege
andhonor to take this opportunity to express ourgratitude to Lt.Jeremy Blackwefl,Jason
