To whom it may concern,
Please see the attached Pre -submittal Site Plan Application for the Southlake Covered Tennis Courts Project.
The proposed project entails enclosing two existing tennis courts atthe Southlake Tennis Center Campus,
located at Bicentennial Park. The proposed enclosure will consist of a pre-engineered metal building frame
with a PVC fabric exterior skin. The proposed structure will continue to be used only as a recreational tennis
facility. Its hours of operation and use will continue to match all other existing tennis courts atthe Southlake
Tennis Center. All occupants will need to enterthe Southlake Tennis Center through the Tennis
Center Building in order to gain access to the Covered Courts structure. The proposed structure does not
currently meetthe masonry ordinance, which requires 80% of all exterior walls to be constructed of masonry.
As part of this Site Plan Application we are requesting a variance to allow the exterior PVC fabric in lieu of
masonry. Furthermore, portions of south and westfacades of the structure may be visible from Southlake
Boulevard due to the structure's height. We are a requesting a variance from the vertical articulation
requirements atthe south fagade and a variance from the horizontal articulation requirements atthe west
fagade. Please contact me directly should you have any questions.
Sincerely,
Amanda Spear
