Work Zone Driving Safety Minute
13
Slow down
Always follow work zone speed limits
Pay attention
Be Patient
Plan ahead
Stay Alert: Don’t talk or text while driving
Check highway conditions at DriveTexas.org.
Speed one of major causes of work zone crashes
Traffic fines double in work zones
Workers and heavy equipment may only be a few feet from passing vehicles
Delays can be frustrating but
it only takes a few extra minutes to slow down for a work zone
Leave a few minutes early when traveling through a work zone to reach your destination on time.
Distraction is the second
major causes of crashes in work zones
