Approved Site Plan Elevations
18
Previously Proposed – Boston Market Site
In August of 2012, Starbucks proposed a sign package for the site that is currently occupied by Boston Market. All of the signage was approved with exception to the monument sign due
to some setback issues and the impending 1938 construction. Ultimately, Starbucks did not move into that building and the sign variance case was closed.
19
Previously Approved – Dunkin Donuts
Logo height approximately 32 inches
Letter height 15 inches and double stacked
Drive thru signage
May 17, 2011, Approved (4-2), noting the following: applicant’s agreement to bring the monument sign into conformance with current city regulations; reduce the logo height to be in equal
proportion to the Dunkin Donuts lettering on the front, east and west side of the building; the lettering to be two 15” stacked with about two inches, similar to what was shown in the
application; the cup would be reduced to match the lettering; the individual letters would include backlit channel lighting and remove the wording “coffee and more”; two drive-through
signs totaling 4.63 square feet each in the locations that have been identified on the plan; elimination of window signs and awing signs; and noting that sign variances are conditional
upon the monument sign being brought up to standard.
20
August 4, 2016; Approved to Table (5-0) until August 18, 2016. (Tabled at the applicant’s request in order to make changes as discussed with the Sign Board)
August 18, 2016; Approved
(4-0) subject to the staff report dated August 12, 2016; noting that directional sign ‘J’ be denied (the two attached drive-thru signs); to reduce and scale the rendering for directional
sign ‘H’; and approving the 2-inch masonry frame on the small directional signs ‘H’ and ‘I’.
