incorporated herein. Executive Session may be held, under these exceptions, at the
end of the Regular Session or at any time during the meeting that a need arises
for the Sian Board to seek advice from the City Attorney as to the posted sub'ect

Vice Chairman Kubiak called the Sign Board Meeting to order at 9:28 p.m.
2. EXECUTIVE SESSION
No Executive Session held.
3. Approval of the minutes.
A motion was made to approve the minutes from the May 4, 2017 meeting

4. Consider: SV17-006, VARIANCE TO THE SIGN ORDINANCE NO. 704, AS
AMENDED, FOR PUBLIC STORAGE, LOCATED AT 1750 MUSTANG DRIVE.
Planner, Patty Moos, presented item No. 4 SV17-006.
Applicant- Tommy Bell, 4550 Ashton Drive Mesquite, Texas, gave a brief presentation
of the proposed sign variance.
Commissioner asked what is the proposed color for the directional sign.
Applicant stated that the directional sign would possibly be a red orange color with back
lights.

Commission continue to disscuss the proposed sign variance with the applicant.
A motion was made to approve Item 4, SV17-006, specifically approving the variance
requested for the upper story height, but denying the variances for the letter height for
the attached sign on SH 26 and the attached sign on Mustang Drive as reflected in the
Staff Report dated May 12, 2017.
