Item 6C Specific Use Permit for Relay for Life of Southlake Item 6C 1 Applicant: Karena Sara / American Cancer Society Request: Approval of a specific use permit for a mass gathering to allow the Relay for Life of Southlake, American Cancer Society Fundraising Event Location: 1297 & 1299 Division Street (McPherson Park) ZA17-014 The request is for approval of a Specific Use Permit for a mass gathering permit to allow the Relay for Life of Southlake to hold their 2017 event in Southlake Town Square at McPherson park. – The park property is located on the northeast corner of State Street and Federal Way. This event was held in Southlake from May 2010 - 2015. The previous events were held at the Carroll High School with parking and overnight camping access at the Durham Intermediate School. Last year, the event was paired with the Northern Tarrant County event and was not held in Southlake. The 2017 event is proposed to return to Southlake and has been modified by removing the overnight camping and all-night activities.
