The request is for approval of a Specific Use Permit for a mass gathering permit to allow the Relay for Life of Southlake to hold their 2017 event in Southlake Town Square at McPherson
park. – The park property is located on the northeast corner of State Street and Federal Way.
This event was held in Southlake from May 2010 - 2015. The previous events were held
at the Carroll High School with parking and overnight camping access at the Durham Intermediate School. Last year, the event was paired with the Northern Tarrant County event and was
not held in Southlake. The 2017 event is proposed to return to Southlake and has been modified by removing the overnight camping and all-night activities. Since this year’s event is
at a new location, the request is for a one-year approval period.
