Hello Dr. Tate,
Thank you again for the contact information on Kelly.
I'd like to request some directional signage for the property that we rent from you in Soutlllake. I
understand that it would fall under our cost, but I believe the cost would be well worth the reduction in
frustration from our patients.
I have been officing out of the Southlake facility more lately and we are having significant difficulty with
people finding our location. They are especially having trouble when coming from the east toward our
facility. In a small sample study over the last two months, approximately 90% of our new patients that have
not been to our facility get lost when trying to find us. As you can imagine, this is a poor way for us to start a
relationship. We had one patient so frustrated that he chose not to come. Loosing new patients is not
acceptable. The ones who do find us are late due to not being able to find us and thus starts of the
evaluation late, reducing the amount of time we have to spend on that critical first visit. As a clinician
yourself, I'm sure you understand the problems behind starting a healthcare relationship in this manner.
My request is two pronged. First, a small directional type signage at the driveway to the front entrance off
Gateway. I'm open to the look of the sign, be it a small stone type monument structure or another look. 1
believe this may help capture those people coming off 1709 just after 114. Our true signage is difficult for
them to see in that area and at that angle. My second request is a small plaque type sign on the outside of
the building similar to the "Suite C around back" sign currently there. Some patients make it to the building,
but see no indication of where are in the building or that they are even in the correct building when
standing at the front door.
I do hope you will thoughtfully consider our requests. This has served as a major challenge for our facility.
Any of the staff members can speak to the same. We have let people in the side doors, we have found
people around the side of the building and just twice this week, 1 had to stand in the driveway waving my
arms to guide people in.
Thank you again for your consideration,
Laurel
