During the first 15 years, RREAF principals and predecessor companies were primarily involved in the investment sales and mortgage banking side of commercial real estate before turning to the principal side for the last 15+ years. With a significant amount of pipeline deals under contract, the platform is expected to exceed 3,000 units throughout the Southwest and Southeast by the end of 2016.   RREAF is also building on its past experience in hospitality development and ownership. In 2007-2008, RREAF acquired and redeveloped two four-star boutique hotels - the Hotel Palomar Dallas (now the Hilton Highland Hotel -pictured on side) and the Hotel Palomar Beverly Hills. In the last five years, RREAF acquired two existing beachfront hotels - Beachside Resort (pictured to side) and Bikini Beach Resort - in Panama City Beach, Florida and developed two limited service hotels in Texas. RREAF will break ground in late 2016/early 2017 on a 126-room Cambria in Charleston, South Carolina and a 240-room Marriott Delta in Southlake, Texas.   Additionally, RREAF has more than 1,500 acres of land in Texas and Tennessee held for future development. This will include single-family residential lots, office, retail, multifamily, senior housing, hospitality and self-storage.   Carl Schwab, RREAF’s lead project coordinator for the Delta Southlake, acted as the lead project manager for the development of the Beechwood Business Park in Fort Worth, TX for the Beechwood Company prior to joining RREAF as a partner. Carl oversaw the masterplanning and development of the 902-acre property including the development of a 286room Westin Hotel and Greg Norman-designed golf course (now the Marriott Hotel & Golf Club at Champions Circle.
