CALL TO ORDER President Randy Williamson called the meeting to order at 4:30pm. 2. CONSENT 2A. APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES FROM THE DECEMBER 6, 2016 SOUTHLAKE PARKS DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION MEETING APPROVED A motion was made to approve the minutes from the December 6, 2016 Southlake Parks Development Corporation meeting. Motion: Fawks Second: Huffman Ayes: Berman, Fawks, Huffman, McMillan, Wasserman Abstain: Williamson Approved: 5-0-1 3. PUBLIC FORUM President Randy Williamson opened the public forum. RECOMMENDATION ON GUARANTEED MAXIMUM PRICE AMENDMENT TO THE CONSTRUCTION MANAGER AT-RISK CONTRACT WITH HAYDON BUILDING CORPORATION IN THE AMOUNT OF $4,230,520 FOR CONSTRUCTION OF BICENTENNIAL PARK PHASE 3 — SOUTHLAKE TENNIS CENTER APPROVED Director of Community Services Chris Tribble presented Item 4A and answered questions from the Board. The Board discussed the concept plan and design of Phase 3, as well as the process of using a Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR). A motion was made to approve the Guaranteed Maximum Price Amendment to the Construction Manager At-Risk Contract with Haydon Building Corporation in the amount of $4,230,520 for construction of Bicentennial Park Phase 3 — Southlake Tennis Center. Motion: Berman Second: Fawks Ayes: Berman, Fawks, Huffman, McMillan, Wasserman, Williamson Approved: 6-0 4B. RECOMMENDATION ON MATCHING FUNDS REQUEST FROM SOUTHLAKE GIRLS SOFTBALL ASSOCIATION FOR BATTING CAGES IMPROVEMENTS AT BOB JONES PARK IN THE AMOUNT OF $37,500 APPROVED Director of Community Services Chris Tribble presented Item 4B and answered questions from the Board. The Board discussed design standards for batting cages implemented during the development of Bicentennial Park Phase 2. This request aligns with SPDC matching fund project criteria. The Association will be required to fund its share prior to the City releasing funds. This project will not fund actual batting machines; they are furnished by the Association. A motion was made to approve the matching funds request from Southlake Girls Softball Association for batting cages improvements at Bob Jones Park in the amount of$37,500.
