Item 6 - ZA17-002 Variance Request VARIANCES REQUEST For Lot 5, Kimball Park Addition ZA17-002 Variances Requested  Wall Articulation- We are requesting that horizontal and vertical articulation required by Ord. 480 be waived at this time. Our design reflects the approved concept plan for lot 5 and the approved color rendering elevation concepts. It is our understanding that the hotel and office portions of the Kimball Park Development were granted this same variance. It is our position that the unusual shape and massing of the building meet the intent of the articulation ordinance.  Landscape islands- We are requesting that the landscape parking islands just south of the building be approved as 9 feet. Our design reflects the approved concept plan for lot 5. To widen the islands will result in the loss of required parking spaces for this lot 5.  No other variance is requested for the PD 480-657 documents or city ordinances.
