FORUM SUMMARY: Property Situation: Property is located at 1215 Brumlow Avenue, south of E. Continental Blvd.. Details: The applicant is proposing a 6,000 sf indoor baseball training academy. The property is zoned “I-1” Light Industrial District. A new specific use permit will be needed for the facility. Presentation: Indoor baseball training facility for batting and pitching Training youth players with 2 full time coaches C3 stands for Character, Commitment, and Community- involvement in the community with Special Olympics and holiday meals Safe environment within the existing building C3 has an existing facility in Trophy Club, but wants to open a facility in Southlake Business Plan- 1 team with 10-12 players and 2-4 players for a total capacity of 16 players Hours of Operation: Monday- Friday 4 pm – 9 pm (most players in 6-9 pm slot Saturday 10 am-4 pm and Sunday 1pm-6pm Parking: 8 spaces in front of the building and 10 spaces behind t he fence- fence will be open during operation and closed when the facility is not open. Noise: No noise issues with an indoor facility-doors closed Traffic: Peak hours 6-9 pm, mainly after rush hours and carpools to drop off players High end training baseball training facility- current facility has been in operation since 2009.
