Request: Approval of sign variance to allow more than two signs per lease space.
Location: 1201 E. SH 114, Suite 100
Lo-Lo’s Chicken and Waffles is requesting approval of a sign variance to sign ordinance 704-H, as amended, to allow more than 2 signs per lease space. Currently Lo-Lo’s has two signs
located on the north and east facades of their lease space facing E SH114 and the east parking lot. The applicant is requesting a sign variance approval allow a third sign on the west
lease space facing N. Carroll Avenue. The applicant feels that the additional sign, located on N. Carroll Avenue, would greatly increase the visibility and public awareness of their
location. Lo-Lo’s is located at 1201 E. SH 114, Suite 100.

Carroll Pointe Sign Variances and Master Sign Plan
October 7, 2014; Master Sign Plan for Carroll Pointe (MSP14-003) approved for the property with respect to Chuy’s restaurant for two attached building signs on the east and west elevations,
one building blade sign on the east elevation, and two monument signs. All remaining signage in the Carroll Pointe development remained subject to the general Sign Ordinance No. 704,
as amended.
April 5, 2016; Bicycle World (SV16-001) was approved for three total signs including one attached sign on the west façade facing Carroll Avenue, two signs on the east façade
facing the parking lot.
May 3, 2016; The Great Harvest Bread Company (SV16-005) was approved to allow two attached signs placed on suspended aluminum poles at the east and west elevation
entrances of the lease space.

Carroll Pointe currently has a master sign plan for Chuy’s and two sign variances for Bicycle World and The Great Harvest Bread Company. Bicycle World was approved for 3 building signs
on two facades. Chuy’s has received approval for two attached signs and one building blade sign through a master sign plan.

September 8, 2016; Approved (5-0) the motion to table the item, at the request of the applicant, to the next regularly scheduled Sign Board meeting on September 22, 2016.

22, 2016: Approved (4-1) referencing the Staff Report dated September 16, 2016; and granting the variance for an additional sign on the west side of the building that will match exacting
the sign currently on the east side of the building.
