FORUM SUMMARY:
Property Situation:
Near Kirkwood Blvd. and Riviera Lane (Carillon)
Development Details:
Approximately 12,600 square foot one story building
First development to be located in theCarillon retail center
Applicant mentioned the development fits within guidelines of the 2008 Carillon
master plan-building along Kirkwood Blvd. and the parking interior to the
property
Applicant noted they are proposing a spa and wellness center –the building will
sit on the hard corner of Kirkwood Blvd. and Riviera Ln. -developer will be
putting in trees along the streetscapeand will be developing the interior parking
that goes with it
Applicant envisions you park and walk into a set of gates into a first garden, and
then through another set of doors to another inside garden before you go into the
air conditioned space –looking at a tranquility center. A large part of the lot will
be fenced for a tranquil garden space-will be a yoga, wellness, fitness center
Applicant noted the driveway is a shared entrance between this project and the
proposed salon building next door (SPIN2016-026) –but the driveway lines up
with driveway across thestreet and is in line with where the driveway was
proposed to be in the master plan
Applicant mentioned they are not asking for a change of zoning –will come
forward with a site plan in compliance with the general regulations
