Deputy Mayor Pro Tern Shawn McCaskill, and Councilmembers John Huffman and
Shahid Shafi.
CITY COUNCIL ABSENT: Gary Fawks and Chad Patton.
SOUTHLAKE PARKS DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION MEMBERS PRESENT:
President Randy Williamson, Secretary Sherry Berman, and members John Huffman,
Shawn McCaskill, Tamara McMillan, and Tina Wasserman.
SOUTHLAKE PARKS DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION MEMBERS ABSENT: Vice-
President Gary Fawks.
PARKS AND RECREATION BOARD MEMBERS PRESENT: Chair Tina Wasserman,
Vice-Chair Frances Scharli, and members Mitch Hill, Lori Palmer, and Paul Venesky.

Prior to the start of the meeting, Council and board members ate dinner in the Club
Lounge beginning at 5:30 p.m.
2. CALL TO ORDER
Following dinner, the joint meeting was called to order in the Legacy Meeting Rooms by
Mayor Hill at 6:15 p.m.
City Manager Shana Yelverton welcomed everyone, made opening comments, and
introduced the first discussion item.
3. DISCUSSION: SOUTHLAKE PARKS DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION
FINANCIAL UPDATE
Chief Financial Officer Sharen Jackson gave a general overview along with capital costs
and operational expenses. Mrs. Jackson was available to answer questions from the
Council and Boards.
4. DISCUSSION: SOUTHLAKE PARKS, RECREATION, OPEN SPACE, AND
COMMUNITY FACILITIES MASTER PLAN
Senior Director of Planning and Development Services Ken Baker presented an update
on the Southlake Parks, Recreation, Open Space, and Community Facilities Master
Plan. Director Baker was available to answer questions from the Council and Boards.
5. DISCUSSION: CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROJECT PRIORITIES (FY 2016 -
FY 2020)
Director of Community Services Chris Tribble introduced and discussed the Capital
Improvement Project priorities for FY 2016 — FY 2020. Director Tribble was available to
answer questions from the Council and Boards.
6. DISCUSSION: THE MARQ SOUTHLAKE
Assistant City Manager Ben Thatcher and Director of Community Services Chris Tribble
gave a status report on The Marq Southlake. Mr. Thatcher and Director Tribble were
available to answer questions from the Council and Boards.
7. MEETING ADJOURNED
Mayor Hill adjourned the joint meeting at 8:37 p.m.
