FORUM SUMMARY: Property Situation: Phase II of The Marq - Southlake located at 285 Shady Oaks Drive. Details: Phase II of The Marq will be located adjacent to Phase I. This is part of the2030 Master Plan. Phase I and Phase II will total 108,000 square feet. It is a two story facility that will include: main service desk; 6,220 square foot exercise area; indoor pool; outdoor spray pad; fitness classrooms; classrooms; personal training rooms; indoor and outdoor turf fields; gymnasium with elevated indoor track (11 laps/ mile); locker rooms and family rooms; child care drop-off; 2 party rooms, coffee lounge; indoor playground; indoor pool with lap pool; lazy river; playground; spa; water slides; aerobic and spin rooms; and administrative offices. Phase I and Phase II will be connected at the lower level of Phase II. The building's exterior architecture will coordinate with the Phase I building. The main entrance is on the second floor of the building. There will be stair and elevators in the buildings. The site will connect to the retail center to the south by a proposed shared driveway and by trail near the center of the retail center. The facility will be presented to the Planning and Zoning Commission on June 9, 2016 and the City Council on June 21, 2016 for their consideration. The building Groundbreaking will be in the Fall 2016 with the Grand Opening in early 2018.
