Requested Action
Staff is seeking City Council’s approval of the proposed Policy for the Provision of Athletic Facilities that will provide a guide to management and use of City-owned athletic facilities,
excluding those at The Marq Southlake and the Southlake Tennis Center.

The Policy for Provisions of Athletic Field Spaces document has been developed with input from meetings with the mayor's Athletic Task Force and representatives from participating athletic
associations. The proposed Policy was discussed and recommended by the Athletic Task Force at a meeting held June 1, 2016. The Parks and Recreation Board approved (5-0) the Policy at
their June 6, 2016 meeting.
