Item 4C Approve telecom expenses for Verizon Wireless services in the amount of $129,000 Item 4C Madam Mayor, members of the City Council… The purpose of this item is to approve annual budgeted telecom expenses for Verizon Wireless services in the amount of $129,000. With the increasing requirement for mobility, wireless services will continue to grow in all areas and departments as well as enabling the City Council. Benefits Availability of device support Rapid enabling of services Having Verizon Wireless as the primary vendor for wireless services provides many advantages including device support and the ability to rapidly enable services. As mobility and automation requirements increase, these capabilities will prove valuable for serving our customers. 3 Cost Breakdown Council approved the FY2016 budget for Verizon services (General Fund) for $132,000 With consolidation and upgrades the projected in-budget expenses are $129,000 Council approved an FY 2015 budget of $148,000 for Verizon Wireless services. With streamlining and consolidation efforts we continue to reduce cost while maintaining a high level of customer service.
