PROJECT: Master Sign Plan for Carillon Temporary Signs
EXECUTIVE
SUMMARY: Hines/GTIS Carillon LLC / Soliel Developers is requesting re-approval of a Master
Sign Plan for several temporary signs within Carillon that will soon expire.
Hines/GTIS Carillon LLC has sold the remaining lots at Carillon to Soliel
Developers as of June 10, 2016. The Welcome Center will become the sales office
for Soliel and some sign changes will be necessary from the original plan
submitted to the Planning & Zoning Commission. These changes have been made
and/or noted in the presentation. The temporary signs include the Carillon
directional signs and residential real estate signs. The Carillon development is
generally located at the northeast corner of E. S.H. 114 and N. White Chapel
Blvd., Southlake, TX.
REQUEST
DETAILS: The applicant is requesting approval of a Master Sign Plan (MSP) for existing
temporary signage in relation to the Carillon development. In June 2011 a
temporary MSP (MSP11-003) was approved and is due to expire on June 21,
2016. The applicant is requesting a two-year approval period of the proposed MSP
which would allow the signs to remain until June 21, 2018.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION
APPLICANT: Hines GTIS Carillon LLC / Soliel Developers
PROPERTY SITUATION: The development is generally located on the northeast corner of E.
S.H. 114 and N. White Chapel Blvd.
HISTORY: A Zoning Change & Development Plan for Carillon was approved
by City Council on November 18, 2008 (Planning Case ZA08-031).
A Master Sign Plan for Carillon Entry Feature Signs was approved
by City Council on April 5, 2011 (Planning Case MSP11-001).
A Master Sign Plan for Carillon Temporary Signage was approved
by City Council on June 21, 2011 (Planning Case MSP11-003).
A Zoning Change & Development Plan Amendment for Carillon was
approved by City Council on September 4, 2012 (Planning Case
ZA 12-066).

SIGN BOARD: June 9, 2016; Approved (4-0) subject to the Staff Report dated June
9, 2016.
STAFF COMMENTS: The Master Sign Plan criteria is included in Attachment `C' of this
report. City Council approval of the proposed plan does not
eliminate the requirement for appropriate sign application submittals
prior to installation of any new signs. Please contact Seantay

Narrative
Carillon Sign Application
Hines, the developer of Carillon has a sign permit set to expire June 21, 2016. Hines/GTIS Carillon LLC
has sold the remaining lots at Carillon to Soliel Developers as of June 10, 2016. The Welcome Center
will become the sales office for Soliel and some sign changes will be necessary from the original plan
submitted to the Planning & Zoning Commission. These changes have been made and/or noted in the
presentation. The temporary signs include the Carillon directional signs and residential real estate signs.
It should be noted we updated each sign in 2015 to look fresh and crisp. We'd appreciate a two year
extension for our signs.
