Item 4G is to consider appointments to the Zoning Board of Adjustment.

Requested Action
Appoint members to the Zoning Board of Adjustment
Appoint a Chairman and a Vice Chairman
Currently, there are two vacancies on the Zoning Board of Adjustment and three positions with terms expiring in June of 2016. There are five positions needing appointments at this time.
Council also must name a Chairman and a Vice Chairman.

The Zoning Board of Adjustment consists of five members and four alternate members.
Establishment of Board
Section 44.1, of Zoning Ordinance No. 480 establishes the Board and further states that three (3) members and two (2) alternates shall be appointed in odd numbered years and two (2)
members and two (2) alternates shall be appointed in even numbered years.

Current Membership
This slides represents the current membership of the Zoning Board of Adjustment.
Recently, the Council received two resignations from board members:
Scott Dyche, served in Place 2 with
a term expiring June 30, 2017, and,
Bonnie Panhoff, served as Alternate No. 2 with a term expiring June 30, 2016.
These vacancies, coupled with the existing term limits, place the
Board at risk of not having a quorum to conduct business.
Please note, the asterisked items (*) indicate those appointments needing to be made on May 17, 2016 either due to vacancy
or due to term expiration.

board members and their attendance records and training requirement data.
