Corridor Planning Committee
Background
Information: On June 16, 2015, City Council took action to appoint members to
the State Highway 114 Corridor Task Force. On that date, the
Council appointed Mayor Laura Hill, Deputy Mayor Pro Tem
Brandon Bledsoe, and Councilmember Gary Fawks.
The committee also includes two Planning and Zoning Commission
members, Michael Springer and Chris Greer, and one Parks and
Recreation Board member, Frances Scharli.
As a reminder, the purpose of the committee, now known as the
2035 Corridor Planning Committee, is to meet with potential
developers or owners of certain properties and develop land use
recommendations for the development of the property that is
consistent with the framework of the Southlake 2030
Comprehensive Plan.
As Brandon Bledsoe's term on Council ends in May 2016 when his
successor is sworn into office, the purpose of this resolution is to
name his successor, Chad Patton, to serve on the 2035 Corridor
Planning Committee and to name Mr. Bledsoe as an ex-officio
member to the committee.

RESOLUTION NO. 16-024
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SOUTHLAKE, TEXAS, APPOINTING REPRESENTATIVES TO THE
2035 CORRIDOR PLANNING COMMITTEE AND PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
Whereas, on June 16, 2015, the City Council appointed members to the State Highway
114 Corridor Task Force; and;
Whereas, on that date, the Council appointed Mayor Laura Hill, Deputy Mayor Pro Tem
Brandon Bledsoe, and Councilmember Gary Fawks. The committee also includes two

Whereas, the purpose of the committee, now known as the 2035 Corridor Planning

Whereas, Council desires to appoint representatives to fulfill the committee vacancies;
now,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SOUTHLAKE, TEXAS, THAT:
Section 1 . All the findings in the preamble are found to be true and correct and the
City Council does hereby incorporate said findings into the body of the
resolution as if copied in their entirety.
Section 2. The following representatives are appointed to serve on the Corridor
Planning Committee until their successors have been duly appointed and
qualified by Council.
Section 3. City Council wishes to name Chad Patton to the Corridor Planning
Committee and wishes to name Brandon Bledsoe as an ex-officio member
of the Committee.
Section 4. This resolution shall become effective after its passage and approval by
�he City Council.
