PROJECT:Sign Variance for Great Harvest Bread Co.
EXECUTIVE
SUMMARY:
Great Harvest Bread Co. is requesting approval of a variance to the Sign
Ordinance No. 704-H regulations to allow two (2) permanent attached business
signs to be placed on suspended aluminum poles instead of directly on the
façades of the building. The sign/building is located at 1241 E. State Highway
114, Suite 160, Southlake, Texas; in the Carroll Pointe retail development.
REQUEST
DETAILS:
The applicant is requesting a variance to the Sign Ordinance No. 704-H
regulations to allow two (2) permanent attached business signs to be placed on
suspended aluminum poles instead of directly on the façades of the building
lease space they will be occupying. The applicant states in their application
demonstration that the unique narrow recessed facades on the east and west
elevations of their lease space do not provide adequate visibility for signage.
Sign Ordinance No. 704-H requires attached business signs to be placed on an
articulated surface of the building façade. Other than the proposed placement,
the signs meet all other sign ordinance criteria.
The specific variance requested is as follows:
