SB Item 4.SV15-010 Department of Planning & Development Services S T A F F R E P O R T December 30, 2015 CASE NO:SV15-010 PROJECT:Sign Variance for The Juice Bar EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: Artografx on behalf of The Juice Bar is requesting approval of a variance to the Master Sign Plan for Park Village, to allow an attached sign that exceeds maximum allowed letter height located at 1161 E. Southlake Boulevard, Suite 284, Southlake, Texas. REQUEST DETAILS: The applicant is proposing one attached sign above their store entrance which is located on the south side of Building ‘O’. The Master Sign Plan for Park Village allows a maximum letter height of 18 inches at that location. Due to the type of script proposed for the sign, the ‘J’ in ‘Juice’ is proposed at a height of 39 inches; all other letters are proposed at a height of approximately 18 inches. (MSP14-002) April 21, 2015; City Council approved a request for an amendment to the Master Sign Plan for Park Village to reduce the size of the Park Village Tower Feature. (MSP15-001) June 16, 2015; City Council approved a sign variance request for Modmarket to allow for attached fascia signs to exceed maximum sign area, letter and logo height; to include a cabinet tagline sign; and, to allow the logo to be duel lit (halo and internally illuminated).
