CALL TO ORDER The Work Session was called to order by Park Board Chair Tina Wasserman at 5:58 p.m. 2. LIVEFIT SOUTHLAKE PRESENTATION Recreation Coordinator Jared Darnell presented information about the LiveFit Southlake Wellness Challenge and upcoming events to promote and encourage community health and wellness. 3. SOUTHLAKE 2030 PLAN UPDATE Assistant to the Director Cassie Tucker presented an update on Southlake 2030 Plan and was available to answer questions. An update of the Southlake 2030 Plan will be provided annually in January to Park Board. Work Session was adjourned at 7:04 p.m. REGULAR AGENDA 1. See item below in regular agenda sequence. 2. CONSENT AGENDA Consent Agenda items are considered to be routine and are enacted with one motion by the Board. 2A. APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES FROM THE NOVEMBER 9, 2015 REGULAR PARKS AND RECREATION BOARD MEETING. There were no corrections to the November 9, 2015 Park Board meeting minutes. 2C. ABSENCE OF PARKS AND RECREATION BOARD MEMBERS There were no board absences for consideration. APPROVED A motion was made to approve the Consent Agenda as presented. Motion: Patton Second: Salinas Ayes: Hill, Palmer, Patton, Salinas, Scharli, Venesky and Wasserman Nays: None Abstain: None Vote: 7-0 Motion Carried. 3. PUBLIC FORUM Chairman Wasserman opened public forum. There being no one to speak, Chairman Wasserman closed public forum. 4. CONSIDER 4A. MARCH PARKS AND RECREATION BOARD MEETING Chair Wasserman and Director Tribble presented this item. The Park Board discussed options for the meeting and agreed to cancel their March 14, 2016 meeting due to CISD Spring Break. The board will discuss at the February meeting an option to hold a Park Board meeting on March 7, if necessary. There was no formal motion or vote. PARKS & RECREATION UPDATE Deputy Director Kate Meacham reviewed the Community Events Schedule included in the meeting packet and responded to questions from the Board regarding the tennis center expansion project and other upcoming events. Staff confirmed the Dallas Cowboys Youth Football Camp will be held July 18-20 at North Park. An update on the Softball Task Force meetings will be provided at an upcoming board meeting. The Board will receive a copy of the draft Southlake Tennis Center concept to be presented January 26 & 27 at The Marg. Future athletic associations' dashboard reports to include Southlake Cricket Club following completion of the cricket pitch at Bob Jones Park in February 2016. (The term of the facilities utilization agreement with Southlake Cricket Club, approved by City Council September 2, 2014, is for one year following completion of the cricket pitch.) 6.
