FORUM SUMMARY
Property Situation:
1101 N. Carroll Ave.
Development Details:
Applicant mentioned Verizon Wireless proposes to locate two new antenna locations in
Southlake to improve cellular or wireless service to Verizon customers in this part of the
City
Applicant mentioned that both locations are owned by CISD and the first proposed
location is north of SH 114 on N. Carroll and located on CISD property. (1101 N. Carroll)
Applicant noted that they are proposing to replace one of the four light standards at the
sports field
The applicant mentioned that the pole will be a little taller than the light standards so the
lights can be placed back at the same level that they are today, and the section of the
pole above the light standard will enclose the antenna
The applicant mentioned that the new pole would be about 15-20 feet taller than the old
pole
The applicant mentioned they would have a lease to use the property
The applicant mentioned they would apply for Specific Use Permits and go through the
regular process
Exhibits presented at SPIN:
QUESTIONS / CONCERNS:
The pole that is there now does not have a fence around it. Will there be a fence around
the pole when it is replaced?
I think there will not be a fence around the pole. At the base of these poles there
o
will be some equipment cabinets and those are fully enclosed. There will be a
fence around that equipment so it cannot be accessed.
How tall are the equipment cabinets?
The equipment cabinets are about 7 to 8 feet tall. Plan to put a fence around
o
them.
