Under the Southlake Town Square Phase I sign regulations, upper story fascia signs are limited to a maximum letter height of 10- inches. The applicant is requesting two upper story

The existing Whole Earth sign has a maximum letter height of 16.4 inches. The SLTS Phase
I master sign plan regulates first floor signage by maximum area allowed (30 square feet) without limiting letter height.

Existing Upper Story Signs – No Variance
These are examples of existing Southlake Town Square Phase I upper story signs that did not require a variance.
Interesting observation is the proposed signs are using all lower case
letters which makes the sign appear small than the signs shown on this slide which coincidently are all using upper case letters

Sign Board Action
November 19, 2015; Approved (7-0) subject to the Staff Report dated November 13, 2015, allowing the 24-inch letter height; and noting the applicant’s willingness to provide a sample
of an 18-inch letter height to City Council.
